Student Opportunity: Urbanism Student Research Summit Call for Presentations
Posted in Undergrad Opportunities
Francesca Hales is a Student Manager for the Georgetown Global Cities Initiative (GGCI). This Spring, they are excited to be hosting the 7th Georgetown Global Cities Student Research Summit, a space for students to share their interdisciplinary urban research with peers, professors, and special guests and highlight their academic contributions.
We are currently searching for students to present their research. Urbanism-related Econ theses, whether complete or in-progress, as well as other papers, independent research, and more by econ students would be great fits for our event.
The 8-10 minute presentations can focus on a range of topics, and in the past we’ve had students present on everything from urban economics to cities and public health to climate resilience to data-driven urban development and more. We seek published, completed, or in-progress research projects exploring interdisciplinary urban challenges. Submissions may originate from class assignments, thesis projects, or external engagements.
The deadline for submissions is January 29th. The event will be held February 21, 2025.
The application form can be found here , and more details and information can be found here .
