Applications considered on a rolling basis, but interested candidates encouraged to apply before February 18^th. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders, since sponsorship or practical training extensions are not available for this position.

This is a full time, two-year position for candidates who will have completed their undergrad degree by the start date of June 2024; it should be particularly interesting to someone considering an academic career in economics. They are very interested in getting the information about these opportunities to people traditionally underrepresented in the economics profession.

Richmond Fed is a welcoming department and committed to mentor our RAs  and interns in their learning and in their next steps. About 50% go on to a PhD in economics, and they get placed in solid, and sometimes top, programs (in the last 3 years: Chicago, Stanford, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Cornell, Brown, UCLA, Wash U).
