Posted on 10/6/2023: Several research assistant (RA) positions are available in the Richmond Fed research department  starting June 2024.

Applications considered on a rolling basis, but interested candidates encouraged to apply before October 20^th. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders, since sponsorship or practical training extensions are not available for this position.

This is a full time, two-year position for candidates who will have completed their undergrad degree by the Summer of 2024; it should be particularly interesting to someone considering an academic career in economics. Please share with students who may be a good fit.

We are a welcoming department and we are committed to mentor our RAs  and interns in their learning and in their next steps. About 50% of our RAs and interns go on to a PhD in economics, and they get placed in solid, and sometimes top, programs (in the last 3 years: Chicago, Stanford, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Cornell, Brown, UCLA, Wash U).
