Posted on 4/26/2024: I am looking for a research assistant for several research projects. These are follow-up projects to my on-going research projects with Selman Erol (Carnegie Mellon) and Guillermo Ordonez (U Penn), focusing on banking history, networks, and financial stability. The position can start immediately. The position is available during the school year and the summer.

During the school year, the position will be offered as a part-time internship (8 hours a week). During the summer, the position can be offered for more hours. The position pays $17 per hour ($17.5 starting in July). Work will be conducted on-site at the Bank Policy Institute with flexibility. Please send CV and a cover letter.

Job responsibilities include entering and cleaning data, merging datasets, and analyzing data. Candidates should have an interest in pursuing research related to economics. This position is ideal for developing empirical research skills before applying to PhD programs in economics or related fields. Independent thinking, attention to detail, strong understanding of economic principles, and self-motivation are highly valued.
