Students may qualify based on education, qualifying work experience, or a combination of both. Students may qualify with four completed academic years of post-high-school study leading to a bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree. Students may also qualify through a combination of education and technical analytical experience, such as compiling data, reviewing supporting materials, and preparing written summaries or reports.

Prior federal work experience is not necessarily required. Relevant experience may include qualifying federal experience or other technical analytical, academic, internship, or related work experience, as described in the USAJOBS announcement.
