Figge Fellowship – Undergraduate Research Opportunity

Posted on 9/11/2024: The Figge Fellowship, administered through the Catholic Studies Program, is a year-long project involving the application of theological reflection to any topic of the student’s choosing. Through workshops, peer reviews, and faculty mentorship, fellows will explore social, cultural, and historical issues that affect human behavior and decision-making in all areas.

Projects often develop from students’ previous work or enhance current research in which a student is deeply engaged. Although the Catholic Studies Program organizes the program, diversity is a vital component; students tend to develop analytical frameworks for their projects drawn from the full range of world faiths. Past projects have ranged from migration and public health to literature and trade. There is a $1,000 stipend earned on completion of the individual project. We have attached an informational flyer with a link to the Google Form application (https://forms.gle/2JUhVsDEHvihRag5A ). The application will close on Sunday, Sept. 15, by 11:59 PM. Whether this is your first research experience at Georgetown or a continuation of previous ones, there is a place for every interest and background!
