Cuba Student Research Opportunity
Posted in Undergrad Opportunities
SCE is currently accepting submissions for its Jorge Pérez-López Student Prize, which recognizes outstanding research on topics related to the Cuban economy. The prize aims to encourage student engagement with issues such as economic policy, development challenges, exchange rate dynamics, and broader economic trends affecting Cuba. The competition is open to both undergraduate and graduate students, making it an excellent opportunity for students at different stages of their academic careers to contribute to ongoing research and policy discussions.
We would greatly appreciate your help in sharing this opportunity with your students. I have attached flyers about us and the student prize below for easy reference.
Prize recipients receive:
- Cash Prize
- Considered for publication in Cuba in Transition
- One year of ASCE membership
- A panel spot at the ASCE Conference in Miami, FL (ASCE covers travel and conference fees)
In addition, the conference provides valuable opportunities to connect with academics, policymakers, and professionals working on Cuba and the broader region. This exposure can help students gain insights from experts in the field while building relationships that support their academic and professional development.
Thank you for your time and support, and please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Best,
ASCE Operations Team
