ODE Hosts IMF Deputy Director

Posted in ODE

On November 30th, ODE hosted its first event with Dr. Christoph Rosenberg, Deputy Director for Communications at the IMF, to engage Georgetown students interested in the Fund. He gave an overview of the Fund’s responsibilities and operations, and gave career advice for young economists. For students that are interested in working at the Fund after graduation, please refer to the Research Assistant Program (RAP): https://www.imf.org/en/About/Recruitment/working-at-the-imf/research-assistant-program.

We later hosted our second event, a talk by economist Dr. Scott Wallsten, on December 5. He discussed his recently published paper “How much is privacy worth around the world and across platforms?” Following this presentation, he engaged student questions on a variety of topics. The aforementioned paper is linked here for those who are interested: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/jems.12481
