Opportunities at a top-ranked economic consulting firm

[Posted on 8/27/2026] Good afternoon! My name is Ben, and I’m a Georgetown alum and current Consultant at Bates White, an economic consulting firm in Washington, DC. I thoroughly enjoy my job because I get to work with teams of colleagues at multiple levels to conduct research, analyze large data sets, and leverage statistical tools to tackle complex economic problems. Since you are the chair of the Department of Economics, I thought some of your students might be interested in joining our firm. They will have opportunities to utilize both their problem-solving and technical skills (e.g., R, Stata, Python) to solve real-world problems.

We are recruiting for internship positions, and I wanted to invite your students to meet us at the Georgetown Career Fair and at Bates White specific info sessions.

During these events, participants will learn how economic consulting differs from other types of consulting. They’ll hear from current employees about the day-to-day life of a Consultant and Bates White’s unique culture. They’ll also learn valuable tips for applying and have the chance to ask questions.
