[Posted on 9/2/2026] The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Economic Research Department is recruiting research associates. We’re seeking to fill several RA positions supporting economists in a variety of economic fields.
We have three job postings (flyers attached). One is a general job posting for RA positions starting summer 2027. International students with STEM OPT extension are welcome to apply. The second one is specifically for an RA position with our banking and financial markets team. The banking and financial markets position is only open to U.S. citizens. This position also starts summer 2027. The third posting is for a payments RA position that starts this fall or winter. It would be a great position for a Spring 2026 graduate who hasn’t found a spot yet or for a December graduate. International students with STEM OPT extension are welcome to apply to this posting as well.
The general and banking job postings will be open through November 30th. The payments posting will be open through November 1st. However, we review applications on a rolling basis, so applicants are encouraged to apply early.
