Fed Challenge Initiative

Posted in Undergrad Opportunities

Posted on 03/16/2026: Organized by the Federal Reserve, the Fed Challenge is a national collegiate competition where teams analyze macroeconomic and financial conditions and formulate monetary policy recommendations.

Georgetown’s Fed Challenge team is looking to add new members for the 2026 competition with a demonstrated passion towards macroeconomics and monetary policy, strong teamwork skills, and a willingness to commit time and effort to represent Georgetown.

The team meets regularly to learn more about monetary policy, discuss current macroeconomic updates, and prepare our Fed Challenge presentation, a commitment of ~2 hours/week. Because the economy and incoming data are constantly evolving, the week before the competition (in early October) will require 8-10 hours.

An information session will be held on Thursday, March 19th at 7:00PM in Reiss 112. Applications are open here and are due Tuesday, March 24th, at 11:59PM.
