Paid Research Mentor Position | Loyola H.S. Ignatian Scholars

Posted in Undergrad Opportunities

Loyola High School of Los Angeles – the city’s oldest college preparatory institution – is seeking university faculty to serve as paid mentors for our Ignatian Scholars, a cohort of Loyola’s top seniors pursuing yearlong capstone research projects.

Each mentor guides a small group of 5–7 students in their discipline. The commitment is light but impactful:

  • A 45-minute group Zoom on research methods (September)
  • One brief individual Zoom per student (fall)
  • A follow-up cohort meeting (February)
  • A quick read of rough & final drafts with short comments (March–April)

Compensation is $250 per student ($1,250–$1,750 total), with a time investment of roughly 1–2 hours per student spread over the year.

If this opportunity interests you, I’d be happy to set up a quick call to share more about the program and answer any questions.

Thank you for considering this role in shaping our scholars’ academic journeys.

Warm regards,

Ryan Bouziane
