Posted on 9/03/2025: The Center for Research and Fellowships (CRF) has opened the campus nomination period for the Harry S. Truman Scholarship . The Truman Scholarship is open to current juniors interested in public service.

What is the Truman Scholarship?

The Truman Scholarship is a prestigious award that supports junior year students in their public service journey. The recipients of this scholarship are extraordinary students dedicated to becoming agents of change. The award includes financial assistance, professional mentoring, leadership institutes, and other opportunities to help Truman Scholars through their evolution and development as community leaders. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for the award.

Important Dates and Deadlines

Georgetown’s internal deadline for the Truman Scholarship is November 6, 2025 at 12PM (NOON) ET. Selected applicants will work with the CRF in a cohort to develop and prepare their final applications, due to the Truman Scholarship Foundation by February 3, 2026.
