Develop Practical Skills Through Our Rigorous Curriculum
The Master of Science in Economics program will equip you with the essential knowledge and skills needed to navigate this complex and fascinating field. You will start with the four core courses—microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and data analysis. Through your work in these key areas, you will build a strong foundation, developing a solid grasp of key economic models and tools for econometric investigation and analysis. You’ll gain skills to engage in empirical analyses, undertake original research projects and contribute to policy formulation. You will then choose eleven elective courses from numerous offerings, allowing you to explore a broad range of contemporary economic problems, practical applications and advanced tools. To help ensure readiness for the quantitative demands of the program, a mandatory two-week session just before the fall semester reviews calculus, linear algebra and probability and statistics.
