Congratulations to two Georgetown University Economics PhD students, Maria Hernandez de Benito and Umberto Muratori who were jointly awarded the 2021 Razin Prize.
Maria Hernandez de Benito’s paper on “The Effect of Violent Crime on Intra-household Resource Allocation and Bargaining Power” and Umberto Muratori’s paper on “Knowledge Diffusion, Markups, and Cohorts of Firms” were chosen as the best research papers in a very tough competition.
We also would like to extend our congratulations to Maria’s thesis advisor, Professor Garance Genicot and to Umberto’s thesis advisor, Professor Toshi Mukoyama.
